Cookies

Effective July 20, 2026

Public browsing

The main public pages do not require an account or advertising cookie from KnightsOfTheSkies.com. Normal browser caching may store site assets for performance.

Archive preference

The functional kots_caught_up_through cookie and matching local browser preference store only the Chapter checkpoint you select or the explicit Spoil Me mode. Spoil Me resolves to the newest actually released Chapter and cannot bypass a scheduled release guard. The preference expires after one year unless you replace or remove it.

First-visit explanation

The functional kots_spoiler_intro_seen cookie records only that you completed or acknowledged the spoiler setup explanation so it does not appear on every visit. It expires after one year and can be reset by removing site data.

Spoiler access

A session-only kots_spoiler_access_through cookie is created only when you choose temporary spoiler access. It expires when the browser session ends and does not change your caught-up setting. The homepage can also remember a one-time Chapter-preview warning choice in local browser storage.

Secure forms

The contact and mailing-list forms use a short-lived functional session cookie to validate submissions and reduce automated abuse. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Embedded services

YouTube and linked social platforms may use their own cookies or similar storage when their content loads or when you visit them. Their policies control that activity.

Future changes

If analytics, accounts, advertising, or additional browser storage are introduced, this notice will be updated before those features are enabled.
